A scene worthy of a film: the majestic United Nations headquarters under a brilliant blue sky, and in the background, the impressive dedication ceremony of the Ark of Return, the United Nations' permanent memorial in New York, unveiled in 2015 in tribute to the victims of the transatlantic slave trade. On the headquarters grounds, in the presence of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and other distinguished guests, diplomats, and UN staff members, the lifeless body of an Ethiopian UN employee lies within the Ark of Return, erected on the grounds of the United Nations headquarters in Manhattan, New York, in 2015. The camera follows and highlights the Ethiopian employee's body with fluid and precise movements, capturing both wide panoramic shots and close-ups that reveal his inanimate anatomy, his closed eyes, his still face and body, and the way he rests in peace. The soft sunlight highlights the texture of the entire landscape, and in particular the body of the Ethiopian employee and the dramatic unveiling of the Ark of Return at the United Nations headquarters site in Manhattan, New York.
