Step 2: The "Hydro-Heart" Infrastructure
Ethiopia is the water tower of Africa, and Lalibela-Nova is its filter. The city is designed around a "Sponge City" concept. Rainwater is captured by vast, aesthetic terraced catchments modeled after the ancient agricultural systems of the Konso people. This water feeds a decentralized grid of subterranean reservoirs, providing 100% of the city’s water needs while preventing runoff erosion. The river, traditionally a place of waste, has been reclaimed as a lush, bioluminescent linear park that serves as the city’s central vein.
