With the outbreak of the Second World War, the Allied forces, including Britain, the U.S., France, and Russia, provided support to Abdisa Aga and his men. They supplied them with arms and provisions, recognizing their crucial role in weakening Italy. Abdisa Aga was chosen to lead an international army of partisans, which included Americans, English, French, Ethiopians, and other nationals. His leadership and strategic prowess led to the capture of Rome, where he triumphantly waved the flag of Ethiopia, along with the flags of his international soldiers.
