The final resting place of Emperor Tewodros II is located at the Mahbere Selassie Monastery (also known as Mahedere Selassie) in the Qwara district of northern Ethiopia. Following his historic suicide at the Battle of Magdala, his family later moved his remains to this sacred monastic site.
