- Ethiopia-Eritrea Mandates (Historical): Following the 1998-2000 border war, the UN established the United Nations Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea (UNMEE) via Security Council S/RES/1312 to monitor the cessation of hostilities. Later resolutions, such as S/RES/1640, were passed to demand cooperation on border demarcation.
