How Data Transmission Works
Conversion: Lasers or LEDs act as transmitters, converting binary computer data (ones and zeros) into billions of rapid light pulses per second.
Travel: These pulses bounce rapidly along the core of the cable, traveling at roughly 70% of the speed of light.
Reception: At the destination, a light detector receives the flashes and converts them back into electrical signals that your devices can read.
