When the time came for Ajetu and Ashetu to leave this earth, they did not fade away in sickness. Instead, on a clear morning, they walked together to the roots of the sacred Odaa tree where they had first received the vision of Waaqa.

Surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and a unified nation, they sat down beneath the sprawling branches. They closed their eyes, smiling as the morning wind rustled the leaves above them. When the people rushed forward to embrace them, the twins had transformed into the earth itself. From the spot where they sat, two twin springs of crystal-clear water bubbled up, merging into a single, mighty river that flowed out to bless the fields of Oromia forever.
